0.2 About Your Instructor

I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Central College, a master’s degree in Community Counseling from Drake University, and a doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from West Virginia University. I have taught a variety of psychology courses (along with some women and gender studies courses) at the collegiate level over the course of the past 20+ years. I am a Counseling Psychologist and have a variety of clinical experiences in college counseling centers, private practice, a community mental health center, and a youth residential facility. I love introducing students to the field of psychology and piquing their interest in the field. On a personal note, I am married to my partner, Jason, and we have three kids: Max (22), Jenkin (8), and Kinzley (6). I enjoy running, reading, being outside, playing board games, and spending time with my family.
